Welcome to our friendly family run riding school with novice and nervous riders being a speciality, for children and adults alike starting from age 4.
We cannot guarantee the weather but we do guarantee a very warm welcome!
Stable Management Saturdays 9.30-12.00 or 1.00-3.30. Age 6 years and over.
– Learn to groom, muck out and care for a pony
– Including ½ hour riding lesson (limited spaces available)
You will need to bring with you warm clothing and a waterproof coat, suitable footwear & gloves as lessons continue in most weather conditions.
Bookings are usually made about a week in advance, but we can sometimes take bookings at shorter notice.

Skyers Farm Riding school is an excellent place for novices to learn to ride, the ponies are very safe and reliable. I myself have tried other riding schools in the area and found the horses to be tired and constantly worked, whereas at Skyers Farm the horses and ponies are not overworked and well cared for, meaning that you can concentrate on improving your riding rather than making the horses go forward.
The atmosphere on the yard is very friendly and have the right approach towards learning.
Opportunities are also increasing with more riding activities available such as loan a pony which gives the rider a lot of experience and joy.
Stable management days which also helps the rider gain experience and knowledge. The relaxed feeling on the yard makes it easy to ask questions or ask for help.
