Re-invigorate your passion for the sport, try horse riding in Roxburgh.
Roxburghshire lies in the South of Scotland with rich, rolling farmland, rugged sea coasts and unique wildlife.
This is a land of ancient abbeys, castles and historic houses and also boasts strong literary connections with both Robert Burns and Sir Walter Scott.
Roxburgh loves Horse’s
Horse riding and equestrian pursuits are a fundamental part of Roxburgh life and the county is rich in stable yards and riding schools.
Horse Riding is one of the most traditional and popular sports in the Scottish Borders.
Border towns celebrate their history once a year during June and August with magnificent ride-outs involving hundreds of horses, all ridden with a passion worthy of the reivers of old.
Just don’t leave Roxburgh without first taking in Hermitage Castle. This vast and eerie ruin, dating from 14th and 15th centuries, is associated with the de Soulis, the Douglases and Mary Queen of Scots
