Kent Riding Clubs and Pony Clubs … Whether you have your own pony or not, Kent riding clubs are the best starting point for children or adults who want to learn how to ride.
Kent Riding clubs usually organise lots of local equestrian competitions and events, working rallies and other activities, which usually take place at times to best suit their membership.

Inter-club competitions are always popular and members can get together to share transport and/or travel costs to more distant competitions.

Maidstone and District Riding Club was founded in 1948 by a few enthusiasts who were anxious to encourage riding in the Maidstone area – by offering instruction at working rallies, visiting equestrian events, and running small shows and social events. Training is arranged for groups and individuals with BHS qualified trainers in all disciplines. All abilities of horse and rider can be accommodated. Members’ mounts range from thoroughbreds and warm bloods to native ponies and cobs. The club sends teams to compete in Riding Club Area qualifiers in dressage, show jumping and horse trials. In most years some teams or individuals qualify to compete at the National Riding Club Championships.

Based in the Fawkham Valley of North Kent, Fawkham & District Riding Club (FDRC) came into being at the start of 1997. We are a friendly club who can offer activities for you and your horse – no matter how old you are, your level of experience or ambition.We offer subsidised training to help improve your riding and give you the confidence to try new events or to improve your performance in the events you are already taking part in. If you want to stretch your competitive riding, there are BRC Competitions at area, national and even international level. New members are welcome with encouragement and assistance given to junior riders wishing to improve or progress.

Folkestone Riding Club is one of over 400 Riding Clubs currently affiliated to the British Horse Society. We are a small but enthusiastic friendly RC and cater for all standards of rider from novice upwards. New members are always welcome. We run a mixture of activities that include regular rallies, more specialist training, social events, summer camp and pleasure / fun rides, together with our Annual Show, details of which are published in our bi-monthly Club Newsletter. Bradbourne Riding and Training Centre has been established over 40 years….. Winner of the Speedgate Saddlery Kent Riding Club of the Year 2006 Award. At our centre in Sevenoaks, Kent we have Acres of fields and woodland, a 20 x 40 Indoor School, a large Sand School and over 35 horses and ponies. All of which enables us to offer a wide range of activities associated with horses and ponies including- Riding tuition for most ages and abilities.
