Ravel and Steffen Peters scored 79.50% to take 1st place in the Grand Prix Freestyle at the 2008 Collecting Gaits Farm/USEF Dressage Festival of Champions held at the Oaks Blenheim in San Juan Capistrano, California on Sunday June 28th 2008
Top dressage horse Ravel was bred by Mr. H de Man and was owned by Tim Coomans prior to being bought by Steffen Peters sponsor in 2006.
Steffen and Ravel also put on an impressive performance at the Exquis World Dressage Masters in January 2009.
Steffen, who traveled from San Diego, CA for the occasion with Aikiko Yamazakis Ravel put on a performance that was very much the best of the Grand Prix and the highest score of Stephen Peters career.
Against some of the worlds best riders, including reigning Olympic Gold medalist Anky van Grunsven, Peters showed the world an improved version of his dressage horse Ravel.
Ravel, who in his fourth place effort at the 2008 Olympic Games in Hong Kong, was already seriously impressive.
Undefeated until the Olympic Games, Stephen Peters started a new winning streak in 2009, and took home 10,000 euros for his first round effort.
