The Silver Spur ranch Lodge :

Our beautiful western lodge has tile flooring and cedar lined walls, cathedral ceiling, a cozy rock fireplace at one end and gift shop, "Hospitality Room," and the office at the other end. There are comfortable couches and furnishings in front of the fireplace; western furniture, bar tables and stools, a billiards table and game tables (for Texas Hold'em or BlackJack), and a player piano

Things to do at the Silver Spur

Horseback Riding :
There are miles of trails on the Ranch with scenic and panoramic views atop plush hillsides and all around the ranch. Your senses take in the surprises and pleasures of nature while enjoying the experience and feel of horseback travel. Take a quick view of our Ranch trail map and identify the trails

Hay Wagon Rides :
Enjoy our hay wagon rides and share the opportunity to tour the ranch and State Natural Area with a stop to feed the longhorns and buffalo. You will receive some interesting information about the State Natural Area as well as about cowboys and their history.

Campfire :
After dinner, enjoy a real romantic cowboy atmosphere with s'mores and camaraderie with other guests at our nightly campfire. A "singing cowboy" may show up and entertain you with favorite songs and stories. Enjoy down home western hospitality.

Outdoor BBQ's and Cowboy Breakfasts :
During warmer months, we often have cookouts at our picnic area. Some mornings we have cowboy breakfasts which are also cooked outdoors, and a special entertainer often stops by to get some of our delicious breakfast
