Faye Keyte BSc (Hons), Dip MCAM (OCEPT) - Gentle but very effective treatment beneficial for all types and levels of horses and ponies. This form of therapy is used to restore normal function to the musculoskeletal system thus alleviating pain and stiffness which in turn improves performance and maximises comfort.

If any of the following sounds familiar your horse or pony may benefit from this treatment:

- Stiffness on one (or even both) reins
- Cold backed
- Upset or aggressive behaviour when being groomed/tacked up
- Refusing fences
- Rearing, bucking and even bolting
- Any unexplained decrease in the level of performance
- Uneven muscle development
- Uneven shoe wear
- Unexplained intermittent lameness
- Difficulty striking off on the correct canter lead
- Difficulty getting the horse/pony to work in an outline
- Head-shy (this can include difficulty grooming around the ears/top of the head)

- Carrying the tail to one side
- Unable to stand square
- Always resting on the same leg or not resting and constantly shuffling with back feet

Why wait until your horse shows signs of a 'back problem', many people routinely (normally bi-annually or annually) have their horse checked over. This will mean any potential problem will be caught early so you can feel confident that your horse or pony is comfortable.
