The American Quarter horse is the most popular breed in the USA.

The Pennsylvania Horse show is open to all horse breeds and is one of the largest competitions in the state.

The 'PJMHAY Classic' is only open to the Morgan horse breed.

In addition, there is the West Pennsylvania Spring Swing, which is open only to quarter horses.

But; the most important horse riding event is the Pennsylvania Competition, which takes place twice a year, in January and February.
